Coming up on Emmerdale this week…

After Val came home with a tattoo that says ‘Derek’ on it, she’s pulling every trick in the book to get back into Eric’s good books. It’s going quite well until Bonnie, the friend she met on holiday, turns up.

It looks like Val’s got a few more cats to try to keep in their respective bags and her efforts may be scuppered when Eric gets Bonnie drunk and gets her talking…

Elsewhere, Marlon tries to cheer Donna up but his mission isn’t helped when Ross tells Donna that she’s the main topic of conversation down at the station. In a depressed mood, Donna announces that she wants to leave the police force, but does she really mean it?

Doug is looking forward to his wife, Hilary, returning to the village for Arthur’s birthday party. He’s wondering if absence has made his wife’s heart grow fonder as it has his. I wonder when - and from whom - Doug’s going to catch his case of nasty downb’low itching??
